The area's thousands of new apartments are filling up fast, according to a report from Tom Cain's Apartment Insights Washington.
The apartment vacancy rate for buildings with more than 50 units dropped to 4.17 percent in King and Snohomish counties this quarter, the lowest figure Cain said he has seen since his firm began surveying the area nine years ago.
