CBRE: 85% of new office jobs here are for techies

Led by Amazon.com, the tech industry has carried Seattle's recovery and subsequent boom, accounting for nearly 85 percent of new office jobs over the last two years, according to a report by CBRE.

The report said the trend holds nationwide, with the tech industry responsible for creating 25 percent of all office jobs over the last five years and accounting for 20 percent of office leasing activity so far this year.
