The Pauls Corp. of Denver said it has opened ArtHouse, a seven-story, 139-unit apartment complex at 2334 Elliott Ave., across the street from the Art Institute of Seattle.

NK Architects designed the project, and Compass General Construction was the general contractor.

Other team members include: Thomas Rengstorf & Associates, Pinnacle, Yu & Trochalakis, KPFF Consulting Engineers, RDH Building Sciences, CT Engineering, SSA Acoustics and Golder Associates.

ArtHouse has several outdoor spaces, including rooftop terraces with seating and entertainment space, an indoor/outdoor sky lounge and a pet patio. Private patios come with some units. There also are car charging stations, bike storage, a lobby lounge, gym and conference center.

Units range from studios to one- and two-bedroom apartments, and three live-work spaces. Rents range from $1,495 to $3,335 per month.

ArtHouse was originally planned as condos before the recession. Pauls Corp. revived the project in 2012 as apartments.

ArtHouse is Pauls Corp.'s second project in this area. In late 2005, it bought a 75-unit apartment building at 1323 Boren Ave. on First Hill from the Pryde family and converted it to condos.
