Amazon.com will discuss for the first time early plans for three new buildings on a full-block site in the Denny Triangle.
A 24-story office tower, a seven-story office building and a small retail pavilion have been proposed.
The site was acquired from Clise Properties for $52.2 million in January by Amazon's development entity, Acorn Development LLC.
The block is bounded by Bell and Blanchard streets, and Seventh and Eighth avenues. It's one of four adjacent blocks that Amazon is developing in the Denny Triangle.
The DJC first reported on the development in September.
An early design meeting with a city design-review board is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at Seattle City Hall in Room L280.
Graphite Design Group is the architect.
Together the buildings would hold about 835,000 square feet of office space, 35,000 square feet of street-level retail and underground parking for 835 cars.
A skybridge would connect the two buildings. There are also plans for street-level open space and a cycle track.
A hotel, restaurant and car rental shop on the site would be demolished.
The plans assume that Amazon could acquire the public alley that bisects the block from Blanchard to Bell. If Amazon is denied the alley, it has alternate plans to show the design review board.
The alternate would be for 777,600 square feet of office, 37,900 square feet of street-level retail and 777 underground parking stalls.
