JLL: 190 firms seek space downtown

This chart shows where some high tech firms are located today in downtown Seattle.

Jones Lang LaSalle says more than 190 companies are looking for office space in downtown Seattle and almost half are tech companies.

JLL says this represents demand totaling more than 8 million square feet.

More than 45 percent of the firms are tech companies, and JLL says that's why so many building owners are in the process of renovating to upgrade common areas and add amenities that will appeal to tech workers.
