MLS: 2014 home sales hit $28B

SEATTLE — Northwest MLS reported that its broker-members closed 77,276 sales last year that were valued at nearly $28 billion.

The median price for homes and condos sold last year was up 5.6 percent over 2013 to $285,000. Among the 21 counties in the MLS service area, King County had the highest median price for single-family homes at $440,000.
