City may cap rents for some studios

SEATTLE — Today, Seattle City Council will take up rent and income levels for small studios that are part of the city's Multifamily Tax Exemption Program.

Currently, studio units set aside as affordable housing must be rented to people making less than 65 percent of area median income, with a maximum rent of $1,004.
