Developers: Seattle pricey but worth it

  • Tom Parsons of Holland said it costs about 35 percent more to build an apartment here today than it did a few years ago.

    Construction, land costs and rents are rising. Some units at Holland's Premiere on Pine are going for $6 per square foot.

    Times are good in the Seattle real estate business, but construction is getting more expensive by the day as materials and labor are in high demand.
