SEATTLE — Three cities in Washinton — Wenatchee, Kennewick and Darington/Arlington — have made it into the quarter finals in the America's Best Communities competition, a $10 million effort to help revitalize small towns and cities.
Fifty cities were chosen from over 135 applicant teams. Quarterfinalists have six months to refine their plans and will get $50,000 to develop a strategy to boost the economy and improve the quality of life.
