RENTON — Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County announced Monday that it sold its 39,200-square-foot Seattle Home Improvement Store on South Nevada Street for $4.43 million.
“This sale allows us to move forward with our plan to have up to five stores located across King County within four years,” said Don Gordon, Habitat SKC's director of retail stores, in a news release. “The current Seattle location served us well when it was the only Seattle location, but we wish to support many new neighborhoods and better serve our customers.”
The group is leasing back the Nevada Street store for five months while it looks for a new location. It wants 18,000 to 25,000 square feet near Southcenter or in North Seattle.
