MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Target is using a group of 25 stores in the Los Angeles area to pull together the retailer's top 50 innovations from electronic tags to adviser services in the baby department.
The program will start by early next year. Target also plans to open a futuristic store in the next 18 to 24 months that will serve as a laboratory for innovation.
The initiatives underscore how Target is trying to improve the store experience, but executives also emphasized it needs to fix some problems like keeping basic necessities in stock.
