Report: Big leases coming for Eastside projects

BELLEVUE — New projects in downtown Bellevue and Kirkland are on the verge of landing leases for large blocks of space, according to a report from Broderick Group.

The report says Salesforce has a pending lease for approximately 75,000 square feet at Trammell Crow Co.’s 19-story, 462,000-square-foot 929 Office Tower, which is expected to open early next year. Salesforce declined to comment on the report.

In Kirkland, Tableau Software and Wave Broadband are close to signing large preleases for a combined 160,000 square feet at Kirkland Parkplace. Talon Private Capital is going through the permit process to redevelop that complex. Talon Private Capital representatives were not available for comment Friday afternoon.

Both Tableau and Wave lease space in the current Parkplace or nearby, according to the report.

The report says there haven’t been a lot of large leases on the Eastside in recent years, but that’s mostly because of a lack of large blocks of available space. That will change in the next few years with several new office buildings opening and Expedia moving from downtown Bellevue to Seattle.
