Isola to build townhouses in Ballard

It will have 20 two-bedroom live/work units and 33 three-bedroom townhouses.

Isola Homes plans to start construction next summer on townhouses at 7500 15th Ave. N.W. in Ballard.

NK Architects is designing the project, which is slated for completion in fall 2018. The units will be for sale.

It will have 20 two-bedroom live/work units and 33 three-bedroom townhouses that will range from 1,360 to 1,730 square feet. Three of the townhouses will have private elevators.

NK said in a press release the units will have large windows, open floor plans, and energy efficient heating and cooling using a Mitsubishi mini-split system.

Exterior cladding will blend traditional brick and modern durable materials. The ground-floor live/work spaces will have metal and cedar canopies.

There will be private rooftop decks, patios for some units, and courtyards with seating. An at-grade garage will have 70 parking spaces.

The team also includes Root of Design, landscape design; The Blueline Group, civil engineering; and Malsam Tsang Structural Engineering.
