Stream Real Estate LLC has completed a 34-unit apartment building at 605 15th Ave. E. on Capitol Hill.
NK Architects designed the four-story project called Stream Fifteen. The site is at East Mercer Street, at the north end of the 15th Avenue East commercial district.
The units are 450 to 1,050 square feet. There are six studios, 23 one-bedrooms and five two-bedrooms.
The 37,000-square-foot building also has 23 below-grade parking spaces, private patios for ground-level units, private balconies for upper floors and a common rooftop deck.
NK said the building has dominant brick masonry, a two-story projecting bay and 3,400 square feet of commercial space. Contrasting materials, balconies, color and smaller scale massing are used on the upper floors.
The units were completed last November and are 70 percent leased, according to the developer. Rents range from $980 to $3,500.
The commercial space is leased to Apollo Nails & Spa.
The team is targeting LEED gold certification, with energy-efficient appliances and lighting fixtures, and no-VOC paints, adhesives and carpets.
Others on the team are Compass Construction, general contractor; CT Engineering, structural and shoring; Two 9 Design, interior design; Bush, Roed & Hitchings, surveyor; Pace Engineers, civil; PanGEO, geotech; BEE Consulting, building envelope; and Kim Rooney Landscape Architecture.
Stream Real Estate is a Seattle-based developer that also built Stream Uptown and Stream Belmont. The company plans to start construction this spring on Stream 403, an apartment project with 47 units at 403 Belmont Ave. E. on Capitol Hill. Completion is slated for fall 2017. NK Architects designed those projects.
