A groundbreaking ceremony was held last week for the fourth building of the Village at Beardslee Crossing, at 19121 112th Ave. N.E. in Bothell.

When completed by December 2017, the 233,100-square-foot building will contain 147 apartments and two underground levels of parking for 247 cars. There also will be 75 bike spaces.

The Rush Companies, the general contractor, is building the project using panelized wood framing and cast-in-place concrete with post-tensioned concrete decks.

Veer Architecture is the designer. Other designers are: Pace Engineers, civil; Yu & Trochalakis, structural; Emerald City Engineers, mechanical and electrical; JRS Engineering, building envelope; Associated Earth Sciences, geotechnical; and Zollner Landscape Architecture.

Key subcontractors are Express Electric, Tri-State Plumbing, Advanced Fire Protection, Precision Concrete, Mill Frame, Mosbrucker Excavating, DMI Drilling Construction and Clear Water Services.

Bothell Gateway Development LP is the developer, and Woodbridge Northwest of Vancouver, B.C., is involved in financing the project and overseeing its execution.

The three other buildings of the development were built by Sierra Construction Co. and designed by Veer. They contain 146 apartments, 159 apartments and about 62,000 square feet of retail.

It was unclear if the development will include any future buildings.
