Committee looks at how to help small firms afford space

Seattle Mayor Ed Murray's Commercial Affordability Advisory Committee — a 15-member group of merchants, developers and community leaders — released its recommendations on Wednesday.

The committee was convened in April to address the problem of smaller local businesses — particularly retailers — being priced out of new buildings by large tech tenants and national chains.
