Here's a chance to meet the developer picked to build housing and retail above Sound Transit's Capitol Hill light-rail station.
Gerding Edlen will present its initial design to the city Dec. 14, and there will be an open house on Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Summit Space (420 E. Pike St.).
The open house is sponsored by Capitol Hill Champion, which advocates for community interests in developing the 2.3-acre site at Broadway and John.
Over 300 housing units are planned in the $130 million project, which is slated to begin in 2018. Architects Hewitt and Schemata Workshop are also working on the project.
