This $27,900 cottage, made by Carriage Houses Northwest, will be given away at the Seattle Home Show, which opens Saturday at CenturyLink Field Event Center.
There will be a variety of small homes — from prefab units to custom cabins and homes on wheels — on display during the show's nine-day run.
“Small is definitely the new big in homes,” said Mike Kalian, managing director of the Seattle Home Show. “At this year's show, we've put together one of the largest displays of tiny homes in the region.”
The tiny homes can be used as accessory dwelling units (either rentals or for family members), primary residences, vacation homes or even temporary homes during construction. They can be custom built or finished by the buyer.
Seattle Home Show is sponsored by The Seattle Times and Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties.
