The city has released the final environmental impact statement and director's report on the proposed Uptown rezone.
Draft materials last year considered possible building heights up to 160 feet, but the FEIS and preliminary zoning map limit would restrict such tall buildings to the southeast corner of the neighborhood, in an area bounded by Denny Way, Broad Street, the Gates Foundation and Interstate 99. The city calls this “the Uptown Triangle.” The street grid in the area will be reconnected to South Lake Union's grid after the viaduct replacement tunnel is completed.
