First quarter leasing still strong in Seattle

  • Absorption in Seattle was a robust 516,000 square feet for the quarter: Amazon snapped up 454,000 square feet in two buildings.

    The Broderick Group recently released its first quarter report on the Seattle and Eastside office markets.

    In Seattle, Broderick reports an overall vacancy rate of 6.3 percent, though it is much tighter — 2.7 percent — in South lake Union, where “Amazon continues to be a Seattle market leader.”
