KENT — The application period for Kent's Neighborhood Matching Grants is open until Sept. 1, for projects that are proposed by residents who have formed neighborhood councils.
Toni Azzola, Kent's neighborhood program coordinator, said funding can help pay for signage, landscaping for traffic circles, retention ponds, planting trees and shrubs, murals, gardens, kiosks or bus shelters.
