Fire station burns down in Portland

PORTLAND (AP) — Fire gutted a former Portland fire station that was built more than a century ago and has been vacant for many years.

Portland Fire & Rescue says crews responded Friday morning to the brick building in the Old Town Chinatown neighborhood. Firefighters found flames burning through ground-floor windows on the back side of the building, and the blaze spread to the second floor.
