Atlas expands at Lumen

Atlas Workbase will expand in the mixed-use Lumen condominium on Lower Queen Anne, at 500 Mercer St. The 6,000-square-foot addition should be ready in the first quarter of next year, the company said. The shared workspace provider entered this market last winter, with 20,000 square feet in the former OfficeMax space. The existing space has short- and long-term offices. The addition will add a private, street-level entrance at Fifth and Roy Street, and direct elevator access to the underground garage, shared with QFC. Atlas says the expanded facility will be open 24/7. The new space is already 33 percent pre-leased. In a statement, CEO Bill Sechter said, “We are ecstatic about the success of our first facility, and eager to further accommodate existing and future members.”
