Developer wins $3M from Tacoma

TACOMA — The Tacoma City Council on Tuesday approved a motion to pay $2.8 million to an investor group to settle a case involving development of a Walmart store.

Allenmore Medical Investors filed the lawsuit in 2014 claiming the city and specific City Council members had wrongfully passed a moratorium in 2011 on permit applications related to the development of the store.
