57 units eyed for site in Greenwood

SEATTLE — A Bellingham family filed an early redevelopment plan for property it owns at 7903-7911 Greenwood Ave. N. in Seattle.

Three houses would be removed to make way for a four-story building with 57 apartments and 16 underground parking stalls. Skidmore Janette prepared the preliminary plan.

The site is not publicly listed for sale.

The three parcels on the east end of the block were assembled between 1999 and 2012 for about $1.2 million, and total 12,320 square feet. Most of the block is occupied by St. John Catholic School.

The site is currently zoned to 40 feet, with an upzone to 55 feet being considered by the city.

Skidmore Janette's plan indicates some commercial space facing Greenwood, and the parking entrance on North 79th Street. The project hasn't yet entered into design review.
