SEATTLE — The Thai Kitchen building, at 2220 Queen Anne Ave. N., sold last month for $2 million to Shilshole Development. Now that firm, with Public47 Architects, has filed to redevelop with a five-story building with 40 units and retail.
The midblock property, between Boston and McGraw streets, measures 5,400 square feet. The old house, now used for the restaurant and offices, will be removed. It's currently zoned up to 40 feet. The city is considering an upzone to 55 feet.
No parking is required, but four stalls will be accessed from the alley to the east. A bike room will have 40 stalls. About 1,500 square feet of retail/commercial space will face Queen Anne.
Shilshole recently completed 61 Eastlake units, and is planning 42 zero-net units in Fremont. It also recently purchased another Eastlake redevelopment site at 3138 Fairview Ave. E. for $6.3 million.
