On the Block: Silver Cloud will squeeze its first high-rise hotel onto the Jiffy Lube site in Belltown
Belltown residents who still actually own cars — as opposed to taking Uber or Lyft — will soon have one less place to get their oil changed. The Jiffy Lube at 2033 Fourth Ave. is going to be replaced by a high-rise hotel with apartments on top.
An LLC associated with Silver Cloud Inns & Hotels purchased the 6,480-square-foot midblock property last summer for $4.85 million. That transaction was worth about $748 per square foot, excluding the value of the existing 1937 building. The site is immediately south of the CVS, formerly Ralph's Grocery, on the corner of Lenora Street.
