Like Meriwether Partners in Seattle, a Norris Beggs & Simpson joint venture in Portland is raising a large, blind, private investment pool to buy commercial properties.
The Norris Beggs effort is NBS Real Estate Capital, a joint venture between the Portland commercial brokerage and former Wall Street investment banker Rance Gregory. It aims to raise $30 million and so far has $10.8 million in commitments, Gregory said.
