MoxiWorks debuts recruiting tool

Cloud-based Seattle brokerage startup MoxiWorks announced its new Moxi Talent recruiting tool. The company says it “combines agent performance data, highly automated and intelligent CRM capability, and a proven recruiting process.” Eight brokerages have been testing beta versions. Company CEO York Baur said in a statement, “Brokers told us that they need a better tool to help their managers find the agents that best fit their needs, the culture of the brokerage, and then give the manager a system for successfully recruiting them.” Serving over 110,000 agents and 55 brokerages nationwide, MoxiWorks provides an open platform system, Moxi Cloud, for large residential real estate brokerages.

Project at Des Moines Creek North

The Port of Seattle breaks ground today at 11 a.m. on a new project at 20529 24th Ave. S. in the 26-acre Des Moines Creek North. IAC Properties will develop a 460,000-square-foot industrial facility that will employ about 400 people. Tenants and other team members were not announced. The port signed a 55-year lease with two 10-year options to extend with Trammell Crow Co., the master developer. IAC, previously International Airport Centers, now has a portfolio with 3.25 million square feet, and another 1.7 million square feet in development, including IAC Puyallup and IAC Port 167.

Night of the Stars nominations due

NAIOP's annual Night of the Stars will be Nov. 2 at Hyatt Regency Bellevue, and nominations are due by July 16 for project of the year, firm of the year and other categories. BisNow June 26: What's driving Seattle?

Speakers at the BisNow June 26 breakfast will tackle a number of topics: SoDo, downtown, growth beyond downtown and what to do with old historic buildings. Kevin Daniels will deliver the keynote address, and the panel will include Gregory Steinhauer of American Life, Paul Menzies of Laconia Development, Torsten Hirche of Transforming Age, Joel Wilbur of Caron Architecture, Heidi Hughes of Friends of Waterfront Seattle and moderator Lindsey Pflugrath of Cairncross & Hempelmann. eXp expands into B.C.

Bellingham-based residential broker eXp Realty is expanding into British Columbia. Industry veteran Deborah Stevens of eXp will manage the overall effort in Canada, and Peter Pfann will be in charge of B.C. The firm is a subsidiary of publicly traded eXp World Holdings, and already operates in Alberta and Ontario, as well as 49 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. It has over 11,000 agents.
