SALMON CREEK WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT, PHASE 3
Project description: Expansion of wastewater treatment plant to accommodate service area growth for next 10 years. The project will increase the plant's liquid treatment capacity from 7.4 million gallons per day (mgd) to 10.3 mgd, and its solids treatment capacity from 5.6 mgd to 10.3 mgd. Work includes: demolish and abandon influent screening and flow measurement headworks, sludge storage lagoon, chlorine contact chamber and effluent pump station; and construct new primary treatment, preliminary treatment, aeration basin, secondary clarifier, RAS/WAS pump station, ultraviolet disinfection/effluent pump station, anaerobic digesters and digester control building, solids processing center, biosolids storage, electrical building and operations center. The project also includes modifications to existing control andmaintenance buildings, a blower building, gravity belt thickener building, digester control complex, aeration basins and secondary clarifiers.
