FIRST AVENUE SOUTH BRIDGE REPLACEMENT AND REHABILITATION
Project description: Project includes demolishing Bridge No. 99/530E approaches, electrical/mechanical rehabilitation, grid deck replacement, new pedestrian bridges, new retaining walls, asphalt concrete pavement, installation of water lines and beam guardrail, precast and cast-in-place concrete barrier, pavement marking, permanent signing, illumination systems, erosion control and traffic control.
The job is one of six contracts related to the entire First Avenue South Bridge project. Cost of that project, including designs, is about $172 million.
