Project description: Extend Lakemont Boulevard approximately 1.1 miles between 171st and Newport Way. Work includes excavating over 250,000 cubic yards of earth, installing a closed roadway drainage system, installing several roadway cross culverts, several areas of sewer line relocation, waterline relocation, cement concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk, installing a street illumination system, asphalt paving, striping and channelization. The project also involves the construction of an 840-foot six-span precast concrete girder bridge and a 90-foot single-span precast concrete girder bridge over environmentally sensitive areas. Structures also include a 400-foot tie-back soldier pile retaining wall, two mechanically stabilized earth walls, several rockeries, and erosion control techniques and monitoring.
