Total cost: $1.8 billion

Size: 114-acre plant site; 13-mile deep-bore conveyance tunnel with three construction portals; one influent pump station; 600-foot-deep, mile-long marine outfall in Puget Sound off Point Wells

Groundbreaking: April 2006

Completion: Treatment plant is scheduled to begin operating in August; mining on the conveyance tunnel is scheduled to finish in late summer; tunnel will begin operating in 2012 after final lining and pipe installation
