Winner of the decorative paving award for commercial projects is the Costco Cold Storage lot.

Costco's pavement requirements for "low-to-no" maintenance and durability made the company's paving project in Sumner a prime candidate for concrete construction. A tight construction schedule meant crews had to work at break-neck speed to complete the 900,000-square-foot pavement project.

The pavement's flat, smooth surface was achieved via a smooth dowel, non-reinforced concrete method; and the bright concrete allowed Costco to reduce its lighting needs in the parking area.
