The World War II Memorial on the Washington state Capital Campus took top honors in the decorative paving - non residential category. A number of factors, such as weather, durability requirements and the complexity of the design, made concrete a natural selection for this project.

The World War II Memorial on the state Capital Campus has a unique theme: a stand of steel wheat stalks placed in the center of a court designed with colored concrete.
