Meng Associates has changed its name to Studio Meng Strazzara. The new name reflects the new partnership between owner and founder Eric Meng and Charles Strazzara, who became a financial owner in the company while heading the newly developing retail and commercial and housing studios. Previously, the principal focus of the firm was educational and military design. The 20-year-old firm also has established a specialty in architectural research services.

As of October, the firm had grown by two members over the 1998 size to a total of 21 members.

Most recently, Studio Meng Strazzara was awarded a contract for design of Central Washington University's new Music Education Facility, a modernization and programming project for the Evergreen State College, a new luxury condominium complex, and several retail/commercial projects.
