It’s business as usual, and business is good, said Robin Hamlet, manager of environmental services for Earth Consultants, Inc. in Bellevue.
The firm specializes in geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting, generally Phase I & II site assessments.
Asbestos surveys, hazardous contamination assessments for property transfers -- these are the types of "small" projects that add up to a vital business, Hamlet said.
"Basically, we’ve been working on a series of small projects on phase one and two’s and some remediation projects. Most have been for private sites," he said. "Business is good; it’s even better now that summer’s here."
He said that recent projects involved addressing soil contamination from buried petroleum storage tanks in the Puget Sound area.
