Busted Bracket Bonus! (It's never over until it's over)
The player that guesses the combined final score in the final game: two tickets to an upcoming major league baseball game. Ties will be settled by drawing from an old hat. We added this to keep the 'busted bracket' players a chance to win something in the final.

RULES
  1. No purchase is necessary to win. You must be a legal resident of the state of Washington, Oregon, Idaho or Alaska to participate.

  2. All entrants must be 18 or older. Only one entry per person. Multiple entries or aliased entries will result in disqualification of any and all entries by participant as well as bad karma.

  3. The DJC online contest begins shortly after the brackets are announced on March 13, 2005. Visit the website at www.djc.com and click on the 'Nothing but Net' link then click on enter. You will be asked for name, company name, phone # and email address, (we promise not to sell or tell this to any third parties.) Players will then be taken to a tournament bracket to select winners for each game. As a tie-breaker provision, you will also be asked to predict the number of total points scored in the championship game. Brackets must be completely filled out for the contestant to be eligible. Entries must be received 15 minutes before tip-off of first game, Thursday March 17th.

  4. Scoring. Contestants will get points for each game in which they correctly guess the winner. The points awarded for each game increment after each round as follows:

    • Round 1: one point per win
    • Round 2: two points per win
    • Round 3: three points per win
    • Round 4: four points per win
    • Round 5: five points per win
    • Championship: six points

The highest total number of points wins first prize, next highest wins second, etc. In the event of tying point totals, total points in the final game will be used to determine prize winners. If there is still a tie, DJC editors will draw out of someone's hat.

  5. Prizes. None are redeemable for cash, transferable, substitutable, etc. Any taxes on the prizes are the responsibility of the prize winners.

  6. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the contest and will be notified shortly thereafter.

  7. All entrants agree to allow their name to be used promotionally if they win, and for their name to appear on the leader board and online during the contest.

  8. 'Nothing but Net' is being put on by the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, 83 Columbia St, Seattle WA 98104. Use this address to request a list of winners.

  9. This promotion is meant to provide fun and entertainment only. We are not responsible for errors and/or omissions that may occur in the process of communicating and/or tabulating entries. Nor are we responsible for any problems logging on to the site, online congestion, etc.

  10. Employees and family members of DJC and the contest sponsors are not eligible.
