Description: The Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority (Sound Transit) is calling for Letters of Interest from firms that would be interested in participating in a Request for Proposals to provide software and hardware to replace the owner's financial management system. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified vendors who are responsive to the agency's short- and long-term needs. Sound Transit is seeking a comprehensive integrated solution to replacing systems and is looking for proposals which can meet the requirements for: 1) software; 2) hardware (server equipment); 3) installation; 4) implementation services; 5) integration services; 6) training; and 7) support.
Submittal Requirements: The letters of interest should be sent to the attention of Willette Rasmussen, Contracts Specialist, and they should include a brief description of the firm's interest and the related services the firm offers.
Notes: Faxed procurement questions to the owner are due by Sept. 28. Sound Transit expects to initiate a competitive procurement process in Oct. 1998.

The Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority (``Sound Transit'') is interested in identifying firms that would be interested in participating in a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Sound Transit's Financial Management System.
This RFP will announce Sound Transit's intent to purchase software and hardware to replace the agency's current financial management system. The purpose of the RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified vendors who are responsive to the agency's short- and long-term needs. Sound Transit is seeking a comprehensive integrated solution to replacing systems. Sound Transit is looking to obtain proposals from vendors who can provide an integrated solution to meet the requirements for (1) software, (2) hardware (server equipment), (3) installation, (4) implementation services, (5) integration services, (6) training, and (7) support.
The letter of interest should include a brief description of the firm's history and the related services the firm offers to Sound Transit.
The information will be used to identify viable options. Sound Transit expects to initiate a competitive procurement process in October 1998.
