![]() The city of Everett has selected a site for its $15 million Multi-Modal Transportation Center, the probable site for the northern terminus of the commuter rail line. The 10-acre hub at the corner of Pacific Avenue and 34th Street will also accommodate Amtrak, intercity bus carriers, local bus service and a park and ride lot. The RTA will contribute $12 million for construction of a spur track, platform and possibly a parking garage. Informal specifications: An 800-1,200 foot platform Three 47-foot bus slips Terminal building, 10,600 square feet including a second floor of 6,000 square feet. Uses could include conference space, day care center and professional services. Possible spinoff development: Commercial redevelopment is anticipated on vacant lots around the Smith Street area.
