After Hours: 300 girls fly free at MOF this weekend

A fleet of small planes will be ready to give free rides to

SEATTLE — The Museum of Flight is offering free first flights in small planes to girls and young women — ages 8 to 17 — Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.

First Time Fliers provides the 15-minute rides to promote interest in aviation, space and STEM professions. They are limited to people who have never flown, or who have only flown in airliners. Limited spots are available, and all flights are weather dependent.

Information is at www.museumofflight.org. Register online to secure a seat.

The Museum of Flight gets more than 560,000 visitors annually to see its collection of more than 160 airplanes and spacecraft, the original Boeing factory, and a full-scale NASA Space Shuttle Trainer.
