Strange But True!

Q. Cat owners, why do your precious pets do such seemingly silly things like suddenly deciding to run around like crazy, or climbing into too-small boxes, or going to heights that they're afraid to jump down from?

A. If cats are bored or stressed, they can get quite frustrated, answers “Cat Sense” author John Bradshaw in an interview with Kate Wong for Scientific American special edition “The Science of Dogs & Cats.” “Under such circumstances, the slightest movement, perhaps just a speck of dust caught in a shaft of light, can set them off.” (To help them relieve stress, try frequent play sessions.)
