Kristina Hill is working weekends. It's likely to be that way through the fall, as she steers the Seattle Monorail Project onto a new track in the wake of the resignations of executive director Joel Horn and board chair Tom Weeks. As the new acting chair of the board, it's not going to be easy for Hill, a professor of landscape architecture at the University of Washington.
A wave of public anger over the 50-year finance period and sharp criticism over the basic design envelope which was produced during a nine-month-long blackout while SMP staff members negotiated with single-bidder Cascadia Monorail Co. is still echoing around town.
