Design Perspectives: Sculpture park reflects and reveals the city

  • Art, architecture, infrastructure and landscape architecture all converge in this landmark project — and it’s hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.

    Last week, dozens of journalists from around the globe examined the zigs and zags of the new Olympic Sculpture Park, along with their local counterparts.

    Everywhere in the new nine-acre park, stunning works of art stood out against the sky, water and mountains beyond. We were there to witness the completion of something unique: a landmark sculpture garden.
