As a swing state, New Mexico has been getting a lot of attention this election year. But beyond presidential politics, there are lots of reasons to take a look.
Its high desert is the mirror opposite of our own coastal climate, but it's similar in many ways to the “other Washington” — the arid hills and scrub steppes in the eastern half of our own state. While we soak in fall rains, New Mexicans are enjoying a long, bright fall.
