In this first season of light rail in Seattle, few neighborhoods seem to be getting on board with dense, pedestrian-friendly development, except Northgate. And the train doesn't even go there — yet.
This neighborhood, which is really several neighborhoods centered around the eponymous shopping mall near Seattle's northern boundary, is expected to be on the next leg of the expanding system.
