Sound Transit votes not to cut art funds

Two stainless steel sonic sculptures by Seattle artist Clark Wiegman mark the entrance to the Tukwila International Boulevard station. An LED “light river” on the piece to the right traces the course of the Duwamish River.

In a rare divided vote, the Sound Transit Board decided to maintain current spending levels for public art despite a projected 25 percent revenue shortfall.
