Public weighs in on Third Avenue plans

SEATTLE — King County Metro and the Seattle Department of Transportation are drafting plans to make Third Avenue in downtown Seattle more inviting.

The street is Seattle's most heavily used transit corridor, serving an estimated 42,000 riders each weekday.

Metro and SDOT held a series of public meetings last fall to discuss potential improvements, and now the agencies will share their latest designs at a series of meetings scheduled for Aug. 31-Sept. 3.

The public is invited to weigh in on designs for the first phase.
