SEATTLE — Sound Transit is seeking a consultant to develop alternatives for extending light rail into downtown Seattle from the Ballard and West Seattle neighborhoods.
Request for qualifications are due May 17 and a pre-proposal meeting will be held at 9 a.m. May 1 in the Ruth Fisher board room at Union Station, Seattle.
Subcontracting opportunities are expected in engineering, architecture/urban design, planning and environmental, operations analysis and public outreach.
Sound Transit is looking at extending light rail to the Alaska Junction area of West Seattle and the Market Street area in Ballard as one of the first projects of ST3.
