Seattle Architecture Foundation will offer a tour from 4 to 6 p.m. July 20 of DATA 1, a new deep green building at 744 N. 34th St. in Seattle that houses Tableau Software and local retailers.
The tour is hosted by Tableau, The Masonry and Weber Thompson to benefit SAF as part of its Design Soiree series.
DATA 1 is certified gold for the core and shell under Version 3 of the LEED system. Weber Thompson is the architect and landscape architect, and also did educational signage.
Also on the team are CoU, developer; Pennon Construction, contractor; KPFF Consulting Engineers, civil engineer; and DCI Engineers, structural engineer.
Weber Thompson's Myer Harrell, a principal and director of sustainability, and Cody Lodi, a senior associate, will lead the behind-the-scenes tour of DATA 1. It has operable windows, castellated beams for air flow and daylight, exterior window shades, an enclosed courtyard, and water-scrubbing landscaping.
Drinks and appetizers will be served at The Masonry following the tour. Tickets are $40, or $35 for members, at https://tinyurl.com/ydcdz9zx/.
